Welcome to our Web Site
Catcott is a small village situated on the ridge of the Polden Hills in Sedgemoor, Somerset.
The Parish Council consists of five members.
Catcott Parish Council meets on the second Tuesday of each month excluding August.
Ample opportunity is given at each meeting for members of the public to speak on any agenda topic or to raise matters of concern.
Catcott Parish Council aims to walk the village footpaths annually in order to maximise their use.
Villagers have worked hard to produce a Village Design Statement to be used as supplementary Planning Guidance.
As well as an active Church with its associated groups there are numerous activities run from Catcott School.
Special village committees are formed from time to time for special occasions - such as the Millennium and the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Neighbourhood Watch operates in the village.
A number of local activities take place in Edington Village Hall which borders the villages of Catcott and Edington.
Edington Surgery is adjacent to Edington Village Hall and therefore readily available to the residents of Catcott.
There is also an active Catcott Village Association whose members have worked hard over many years to ensure the village looks attractive.
